FTA's International Trade Policy Committee will return on Tuesday 19 April 2016 in Brussels. Committee meetings are exclusive to FTA members and designed to help companies better understand and manage the challenging regulatory trade environment as well as to provide privileged access to key decision makers.
This Committee will welcome the following speakers to share their expertise:
- Ruud Tusveld from PwC Customs will discuss the pros and cons and give an update of the status of the pending Directive on customs sanctions
- Alina Boiciuc, DG TRADE, European Commission will inform us which countries will be leaving GSP and which product sections will be graduated in 2017-2019.
During this day, participants will explore the imminent application of the Union Customs Code (on 1 May 2016), the Registered Exporter System (REX), and trade negotiations (including TTIP and the Philippines), anti-dumping measures, regulatory affairs (CMR consultation) and rules of origin. There will also be the opportunity to share knowledge and opinions on other current trade policy issues.
